Our club was founded in April 2001. There are 68 members as of April 2017.Most of the members have experiences of either inbound or outbound exchanges
and are actively involved in various activities.
The majority of our members are house-wives or retired people.
Most of the members live within 30 minutes driving area.
The maximum number of ambassadors we can host is about 20.
We try to have one or two inbound and outbound journeys each year.
Nara is located on the western part of the main Island of Japan (Honshu)
It is approximately 600 km west of Tokyo.
Osaka, Kyoto and Kobe are within 30 to 60 minutes either by train or by car.
The closest international airport is Kansai International Airport (KIX)
for direct access and the domestic airport is Itami Airport(ITM). It is
about an hour by bus from each airport to the center of Nara city.
Cost of transportation between the airport and Nara city :
By public bus direct to the center of the city : 2050 Yen (approx. US$20)
per person.
By chartered bus : approx. US$35 per person based on 20 people.
